Piano Lessons in Kensington

Since starting my musical career in Ukraine, I have lived and breathed music. My mother initially encouraged me to take up music at the age of four, and when a year later I was presented with my very first instrument, which I cherished dearly, my love of music started to grow exponentially.

Thirteen years later, in 2000, I commenced my professional studies at the Ukrainian National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music, to which I gained the President's Scholarship. After completing my BMus and Masters there, I was enamoured by the bright lights of London – and another full scholarship from The Royal Academy of Music – and settled permanently in the UK. Under the tuition of Professor Owen Murray, I gained a distinction grade in my Postgraduate Diploma in Performance, and my Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music Teaching Diploma.

Thanks to an almost insatiable penchant for travel, I have performed recitals all over the world – Russia, Finland, Austria, Belgium, the USA and Croatia, to name just a few. I have also performed solo with the Ukrainian National Symphony Orchestra, the Renaissance Symphony Orchestra and the Lontano Ensemble.

Yet I am constantly learning – and the best way to further your own learning, I believe, is through teaching others. This motivated me to become a teacher, and give private piano lessons. I have always been incredibly passionate about music, and I enjoy sharing this passion with others – and I myself learn through my interactions with my piano students during lessons. I believe that by analysing how children and adults learn piano differently, one can greatly improve their own performance skills – a subject I plan to publish a book on in the near future. Watch this space.

I have been teaching both piano and accordion for more than ten years, and give private piano and accordion lessons to students of all ages and levels. In fact, thanks to the time and energy I invest in my teaching, my students achieve grades of a consistently high standard; even when a student only learns the piano for fun or as a hobby, I push them to reach a professional standard.

I am a fervently dedicated piano teacher, and will always make sure that my students get the most out of their lessons. I currently teach private accordion and piano lessons in Kensington, for all ages and levels of proficiency.
